Evalia O. Burden, 75 of Louisville, Ky. passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Evalia was born in Somerset, Ky. September 27, 1938 to the late Clarence and Opha Roberts Rogers. She was a member of Faubush, Ky Nazarene Church, retired from Louisville and Jefferson County Health Department, a Kentucky Colonel and a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Preceded in death by 2 sisters Juanita Rogers and Elfreda Rogers Swanson and son in law Phillip Michael "Mick" Hogan Jr.
Evalia O. Burden is survived by her husband of 53 years Paul Burden of Louisville, Ky.; one daughter Renee Burden Hogan of Sellersburg, Indiana; granddaughter Emily Hogan of Sellersburg, Indiana and one brother Orman C. "Jake" Rogers an wife Margaret of Faubush, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 1:00pm CST with Bro. Chad Bewley officiating. Burial will be in the Aberdeen Cemetery. Visitation Friday November 15, 2013 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm CST
