Don "Red" Martin, 82 of Morgantown, Ky. passed away Tuesday November 17, 2015 at the Morgantown Care & Rehab. Don was born on July 2, 1933 in Butler County Kentucky to the late Jewel C. and Blanche Harrel Martin and husband of the late Wyvonia "Von" Martin. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, lifetime member of the VFW and a retired Butler County Farm Bureau insurance agent. Don is preceded in death by his parents, wife and one daughter Kimberly Denise Martin; one sister Phyllis Cartwright and step mother Mary Martin.
Don "Red" Martin is survived by two daughters Donna Trotter of Morgantown, Ky. and Pam Puffer of Texas; three grandsons Chad Costello wife Karissa of Owensboro, Ky., Jamie Burgess wife Dema of Morgantown, Ky. and Tyler Duncan of Hendersonville, TN and three great grandchildren Eestan and Pierce Costello and Raylan Burgess; three brothers David Martin wife Javene of Huntsville, Ky., Jewel Martin Jr. wife Pam of Central City, Ky. and Mike Martin wife Regina of Morgantown, Ky.; six sisters Alice Martin of Louisville, Ky., Peggy Williams of Charlestown Indiana, Iris Moore of Morgantown, Ky., Doris Vissing husband Bob of Shepherdsville, Ky., Gerri Adams of Vidor Texas and Debbie Guthrie husband Keith of Medora Indiana and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Friday November 20, 2015 at 1:00pm with Bro. Jewel Martin Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the Cool Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday November 19, 2015 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm and Friday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
