Darren L. Pharris, 41, of Caneyville, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on August 31, 1971 in Owensboro, the son of Emmett Jr and Reva Jo Pharris. He worked at Ford Motor Company in Louisville for 19 years. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Millwood. Darren was an avid horse back rider and enjoyed playing the fiddle and guitar.

He is survived by his wife Tara D. Pharris, his mother Reva Jo Pharris both of Caneyville, his sister Dianna Lawson, her husband Greg, and their children Drew, Andrea and Nick all of Louisville, his father and mother in law Dale and Judy Bennington also of Louisville, 2 sister in laws, 1 brother in law, 4 nephews and 1 great nephew. He is also survived by his beloved dogs Bo and Little Girl. He is preceded in death by his father Emmett Pharris Jr.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Keith Shephard will be officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Wednesday after 1:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
