Conner Reed signs to play football at K.W.C.

Another Bulter County High School football player will be continuing his playing career at the collegiate level.  Conner Reed, last week, signed to play football at Kentucky Wesleyan College (K.W.C.) in Owensboro, Kentucky.  The signing ceremony was held at the Butler County High School Athletic Fieldhouse and was attended by friends, family members, teammates, coaches and school officials.  Reed, who played on both the offensive and defensive lines for Butler County, will be joining another Butler County player - C.W. Decker, who is a Division II All American Offensive Lineman and a three-year starter for K.W.C.

"Conner has worked hard over his career to be at the point he is today.  His hard work, dedication, and ability on the field have afforded him a great opportunity to not only play the game he loves but to receive a quality education as well," Ryan Emmick, head football coach at Butler County High School.
Coach Emmick credits skill, knowlege and attitude as key factors contributing to Reed's success.

"Conner is a great kid first and foremost.  His attitude is second to none and his willingness and desire to take coaching has helped him progress each and every year," said Emmick.  "His natural size in conjunction with his knowledge of the game have allowed Conner to excel on the field."
Kentucky Wesleyan College is coming of a successful 2014 season in which they won seven games, tying the record set in 1999.  K.W.C. plays in Division II of the NCAA College Football subdivision and typically plays a strong, competitive schedule.
