Coleman Resigns from MB&T Board of Directors: Wells and Coleman Appointed

Morgantown Bank & Trust Board of Directors announces the resignation of Mr. Glendal Coleman effective October 13, 2015 due to health concerns. Mr. Coleman has suffered declining health in the last few months and feels he is no longer able to fulfill his obligation. Mr. Coleman has served as a director of the bank for thirty four years..

Tom Jones, President of the bank, states, Mr. Coleman has been a valuable asset of the bank for many years. His dedication and service to the bank will be missed greatly. The Board of Directors and entire staff of the bank wish Mr. Coleman the best of luck as he goes forward.

Tim Coleman and Shane Wells have been appointed to Morgantown Bank & Trust Board of Directors

Timothy R. Coleman presently serves as the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the 38th Judicial Circuit (which includes Butler, Edmonson, Hancock and Ohio Counties).  Tim was first elected in that position in 2001 after serving two years as Butler County Attorney.  Tim is the past President of the Commonwealth’s Attorney Association and in 2009, he was named Outstanding Commonwealth’s Attorney by Attorney General Jack Conway.   Prior to becoming a prosecutor, Tim was a Partner at Jackson Kelly PLLC in their Lexington office.  Tim is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky College of Law.  Tim is active in his church, Cool Springs General Baptist Church, as well as the community, serving in various organizations including as a director of the Boys and Girls Club.  From 2007 through 2012, Tim served as a director and eventually Chairman of the Kentucky Authority for Educational Television (KET). Tim is married to Shelia Peay Coleman and they have three children and three grandchildren. 

Shane Wells is the owner of Mockingbird Hill Farms in Rochester, KY.  The family farm produces corn, soybeans and registered Gelbvieh beef cattle.  Shane is the fifth generation to farm in the Green River bottoms near Rochester, KY.
     Shane earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Western Kentucky University and is a graduate of Butler County High School.
     Shane has served as a District Supervisor for the Butler County Soil Conservation since 1993.  He currently serves as Vice President of the Kentucky Association of Conservation Districts.  He is a Director of the Butler County Farm Bureau Federation and currently serves as President.  Shane is a member of Gideons International and Monticello Baptist Church where he serves as moderator.  Shane also serves on the boards of the Rochester Cemetery and the Rochester Volunteer Fire Department. 
     In 2001, the Wells’ were chosen as Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Outstanding Young Farm Family.  The farming operation has been recognized at the District and State levels in Kentucky Extension and Young Farmer yield contests.  Shane also received his American FFA degree in 1991.
     Shane and his wife, Felicia, resides in Rochester with their two daughters Mattie and Lydia.
