Christadell Phelps

Christadell Phelps 86, of Bowling Green entered into rest Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green. Christadell was born in Morgantown, KY December 10, 1928. She was preceded in death by her parents James Edward and Atlanta Johnson Phelps, her husband Neil R. Phelps, two sons Christopher Dwight Phelps and Michael Howard Phelps and daughter Deborah Kaye Phelps. Also three sisters Asa Mae Dow, Peggy Vaniman and Anna Mary Appling, three brothers Howard, Archie and J. E. Phelps and grandson William Charles Duncan.

Christadell was a retried beautician and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Bowling Green. In her later years she worked in retail for Castner-Knott Co. and Dillard’s. Christadell was a former member of the Lioness Club in Bowling Green. She will be remembered by many as one who always had a happy demeanor. Christadell will also be remembered as a very kind woman who opened her home to friends, family and those in need. She will be missed by many, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son Neil R. “Robbie” Phelps, Jr. (Leesa) of Henderson, NV., two daughters Sherry Duncan (Kenny) of Bowling Green and Gina Phelps of Chicago, IL. Eight wonderful grandchildren Michael and Angie Duncan, Christopher Jackson, Kayli Nielsen, Ross, Parker, Alex and Taryn Phelps. Four wonderful great-grandchildren Bailey Duncan, Skylar Nielsen, Storm and Chase Jackson. Also several nieces, nephews and a host of friends survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1310 Cave Mill Road, Bowling Green, KY. Visitation will be Friday 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel and Saturday 9:30 am until time of services at the church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Morgantown, KY.
