Charles "Josey" Joseph Smith, 30 of Bowling Green, Ky. passed away Sunday October 26, 2014 at his residence. Josey born February 3, 1984 in Louisville Kentucky to Ronald Louis Smith and Brenda Brooks Brady who survives. He attended Huntsville United Methodist Church and loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed playing disc golf and was very creative in writing and music. Preceded in death by his grandparents Charles Richard Brooks, Vena Jean Cardwell Brooks and Bud and Anita Smith.
Charles "Josey" Joseph Smith is survived by his mother Brenda Brady of Morgantown, Ky.; father and step mother Ronald Smith wife Karen of Quality, Ky.; brother Tristan Brady of Franklin, Ky.; two sisters Melissa Newton husband Steve of Caneyville, Ky. and Amy Evans of Morgantown, Ky.; step brother Timothy Ashley wife Sara of Quality, Ky.; niece Addison Newton of Caneyville, Ky.; step grandmother Joyce Brooks of Morgantown, Ky. and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday October 30, 2014 at 1:00pm with Bro. Joseph Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Embry Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Wednesday October 29, 2014 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm and Thursday 8:00am until funeral time at 1:00pm at the Jones Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Lieu of Flowers for Josey to any Morgantown Bank and Trust or Jones Funeral Chapel in support of local substance abuse centers.
