Butler County High School Awards Night

“It’s a very special night…” The Butler County Senior Class of 2015 held honors night on Thursday, May 21st.  “…this is one of my favorite times of the year because we get to honor students [with many] scholarships that will help them…” Butler County School Superintendant Scott Howard continued.

Duane Curry, Dean of Students at the high school, has been tracking the scholarship numbers for the past 6 years. In that time, the classes have gained over a million in scholarship money, and according to Curry: “that’s a feat in itself.”  Curry also urged parents to double check their mailboxes, trash cans, as well as email inboxes and trash and spam folders: There could be unrealized scholarship money hidden in the trash, and it won’t hurt to double check.
