Butler County Elite Completes First Season

Butler County Elite is an 11U travel baseball team that began this past August and ended their 2014 season in late October. The team consisted of Brody Hunt, Jake McKee, Chance Castlen, Hezekiah Pendley, Jordan McCrady, Eli Lewis, Drew Daugherty, Trey Stovall, Bo Kirby, Braden Dockery, Cade Stephens, and coaches Jessi McKee, Jon Hunt, Adam Stovall and DJ Daugherty.
They began their season playing in a fall league at BG West in the 11-13u division where they had two extra players (Landon Cardwell 12yo & Hunter McKee 11yo) and finished in October by playing in two 11u BPA Tournaments.
The team came together because of the talent that Butler County has and what better way to improve on their talent than by helping them gain experience.
These players had a good foundation to start from, with our Butler County Little League to thank for, but for these few it was time to advance their skills. They learned about leading off, pick-offs, how to read a pitcher whether he is right/left handed, stealing bases, balks, and everything else you may see in a major league game on television.
It was a great 1st season and Butler County should be very proud of these players. Their hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship shined and BC Elite ended their season with 9 Wins and 7 Losses.
Special thanks to the Logansport Community for allowing BC Elite to use their ballfield, the Butler County High School (Baseball/Softball teams) for the use of the batting cages and to all the parents, grandparents, friends and family who supported and cheered this amazing group of young men on.
