According to the OCSD, Dockery was found this morning around 11:15 a.m. after an extensive search effort that began this past Friday night.
A Golden Alert was issued for Dockery after he presumably walked away from his residence on U.S. Highway 62 East outside of Horse Branch Ky. Dockery’s family believed he was in early stage dementia.
The search teams combed several hundred acres on foot around the residence and several miles of Caney Creek in boats during their search. His body was located in Caney Creek near his residence in the 14000 block of U.S. Highway 62 East in Horse Branch.
The search teams were led by Charlie Shields, Director of Ohio County Emergency Management, several Ohio County Fire Department members, Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, and volunteers including family, friends, and the public.
