Big crowd turns out for M.E.S. Fall Festival

Over 300 students, parents, and school personnel were present Friday night, November 14, for Morgantown Elementary's Fall Festival.  Sponsored by the school's Parent-Teacher Organization (P.T.O.), the annual event actually began duing selected parts of the school day for various grade levels and continued later in the afternoon from 5 to 7 p.m.

According to M.E.S. Assistant Principal Chad Flener, the festival featued all types of games and fun activities, a chili supper, an art auction, and several vendors.  Mr. Flener said proceeds from the fall festival are spent by the P.T.O. in ways that supplement classroom instruction and the overall success of the school.  A crowd favorite was a "whip cream in the face" booth, which allowed students to throw cream in the face of various teachers, as well as Principal Greg Woodcock and Assistant Principal Chad Flener.
