The Baseball Bears faced Owensboro Catholic on Tuesday night in the opening game of the All A Tournament.  The weather was cold and the Bears never got going, dropping the game to the Aces 18-0 in 4 innings.

On Thursday, the Bears traveled to Franklin Simpson to take on one of the better teams in the 4th Region.  The Bears played much better defensively and the pitching was solid by Rex Henderson and Blake Graham.  However, the bats continued to struggle as they recorded only 3 hits (Cameron, T. Parker and Graham) and the Bears dropped their 3rd straight game by a final score of 6-0.

On Friday, the theme continue for the Bears as they stayed on the road against Hancock Co.   Cody Casteel and Blake Graham recorded the only two hits for the Bears in an 8-0 defeat to Hancock.

On Saturday, the Bears traveled to Logan County on a beautiful day in an effort to break their four game losing streak.  The Logan County Cougars proved why they are the defending 4th region champions with solid pitching, defense and offense in a 10-0 victory over the Bears in 5 innings.  The Bears were once again held to only one hit (Henderson) and struggled defensively with a couple of critical errors.

The Bears look to right the ship and break their 5 game losing streak as they play host to Edmonson County at Bowling Green Ballpark on Tuesday night in a huge district matchup.  Admission to the game at “Hot Rods” Stadium is free and we encourage everyone to fill the stands with Butler County blue on Tuesday night!
