The Bears fell to 4-2 on the season, with a loss to Owensboro Catholic. The Aces were led by quarterback Ray Zuberer, who threw for six touchdown passes on the night. Zuberer was 19 of 25 passing for 337 yards.  The Aces racked up 465 yards total offense; and also took advantage of two Butler Co. turnovers, an interception and a lost fumble.

The Bears were held far below their season average scoring. Quarterback Rex Henderson would score from one yard out late in the second quarter, the Logan Richardson kick was good. The Bears, at the half-time trailed 40-7. The Bears would be limited to only three offensive possessions in the second half of play. Late in the fourth quarter Henderson connected with Junior Lake Cameron for a fifteen yard touchdown pass, the Richardson kick was again good.

The Bears look to bounce back next week as they host the Hancock Co. Hornets, another district opponent.  Last year the Bears were in a very similar situation, falling to Catholic but then winning out the rest of the season. The Bears need must wins in the weeks to come with Hancock Co.; McLean Co.; and Todd Co. all key district games.
