The Butler County Cross Country Team ran in their first race on Saturday, August 29th at Ephram White Park in Bowling Green.  Nolan Johnson (senior) won 14th place with his person best time yet.  Parker Smith (4th grade) won 6th place out of 207 elementary boys.  The entire boys elementary team placed 7th as a team out of 17 teams.   The elementary boys team( 4-6 grades) consists of:  Parker Smith, Will Embry, Gage Beasley, Jayden Jenkins, Ty Maxfield, Jacoby Harper and Jameson Findley.  

The girls elementary competitors were:  Lydia Wells placed in the top 20% of 174 runners and Zoie House placed in the top 1/3 of 174 runners.  Both girls ran a great race.

The girls varsity team consists of Maranda Pierson ( senior), Olivia Neighbors ( senior), Autumn Jenkins (8th grade), Hannah Perry ( junior), and Samantha Henderson ( 8th grade).  All of the girls ran a great race.  Maranda, Olivia and Autumn placed in the top 50% of 112 runners.

The boys varsity team consists of Nolan Johnson( senior), Conner Glass ( 8th grade), Bryar Beasley ( 7th grade), Josh Hill ( freshman), Devun Renfrow ( 7th grade) and Hayden Perry ( 7th grade).  All the boys ran a great race. 

Runners not present at this meet due to band competition and family gatherings:  Trey Stovall, Delaney Embry, Hannah Logan, Christian Henderson, and Jacob Camp.

Coach Angie Arnold and Coach Lisa Rhoades were very pleased with the performance of this great group of runners.  This was the first race for many of these students.  We know their times will get better and we will have more to win medals over time.    Our next race is at Keriakes Park in Bowling Green on Sept 12th.
