According to the Morgantown Police Department on Friday, May 9, at approximately 03:30 hours, unknown subject(s) broke into the residence of James Smith in the 100 block of North Main Street and assaulted and robbed him.  Mr. Smith was transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green by Butler County EMS where he is being treated.  Butler County EMS and Butler County Sheriff’s Department also assisted in this incident.  No arrest(s) have been made at this time.  If you have any information regarding this incident please notify Officer Ethan Vincent at the MPD at 270 526-2040.
