Against The Grain by: Andy Sullivan

Saturday November 9, I went to SKYPAC to see Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. This was opening night of the musical’s tour.  If you’re not familiar with the story, the first scene was set somewhere on the Western Front of World War II-Christmas, 1944.  We journeyed through 1954’s Ed Sullivan performance of “Happy Holidays/Let Yourself Go”.

I won’t even attempt to mention everyone in the cast.  I will say that it takes a village and monumental effort to put on any performance, as anyone who has done theatre or any type of performance will tell you.  From what I could tell it was a packed house.

This wasn’t my first theatre performance and it won’t be my last.  In fact, I’ll be seeing Beautiful at SKYPAC later this month.
