Accidents On Natcher

Local emergency workers were busy on Monday night, dealing with two accidents that happened on the Natcher Parkway only minutes apart.

The first call went out at approximately 7:30 Monday evening. Phillip Wayne Keown, 25 of Radcliffe was traveling north on the Natcher Parkway near the 22-mile marker when a deer ran in front of his 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup. Keown swerved to miss the animal, which caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The truck overturned several times.

Keown and his passenger, Sharayah Chantilly Lynn, age 24 of Dawson Springs, had to be transported to the Medical Center with undisclosed injuries.

While crews were dealing with the first accident another wreck occurred near the 25-mile marker on the Natcher Parkway.

Robert Montana Arthur, 22 of Bowling Green, was traveling south when right front tire and wheel of his 2005 Dodge Stratus came off the vehicle. The tire and wheel crossed the median and struck the front of a 1999 Chevrolet S-10 pickup being driven by Lee Williams of Morgantown. The impact caused the airbags to deploy on Williams’ vehicle, but no injuries were reported.

Responding to the accidents were Butler County Sheriff’s  Deputy Chris Reneer,  the Butler County Rescue Squad, Butler County EMS, the Morgantown Volunteer Fire Department, and the Kentucky State Police.
