An accident at the intersection of Hwy 79, Russellville Road and US 231 has sent one man to the hospital.  According to Deputy Heath West a log truck belonging to Anderson Trucking of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, was attempting to make a left turn onto US 231 and failed to stop at the intersection, pulling out in front of Michael Embry, of 2308 Russellville Road.  Embry, who was driving a white GMC, was unable to stop and hit the rear of the trailer. He was extracted from the vehicle and air lifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville by Air Evac.
Responding at the scene was: Butler County EMS, Butler County Rescue Squad, Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward, Deputy Heath West, State Highway Department, Morgantown Fire Department, and Second District Fire Department.
