2014 Provo RD Cruise-In

Saturday afternoon October 11, the community of Provo held their annual cruise-in.  Even though it was cold and a little rainy, die hard motor enthusiasts converged on the Provo Rural Development Community Center.  The cruise-in began in the Monticello Baptist Church parking lot and ended at the Rural Development Center.

Jesse Greathouse and Ashley Flint won Best Fall Float
Participants brought their cars, trucks, motorcycles and tractors to be voted on.  Miss Green River Catfish McKinzey Smith assisted emcee Spivey Williams in presenting the awards.  Ashley Flint won a bed liner from Final Finish.

Jack Holman and Isaac Wilson won best bicycle art.  Jesse Greathouse and Ashley Flint were in the Halloween spirit, winning scariest truck.
Best motorcycle went to Fred Mader, Jr from Muhlenberg County with his Harley Softtail.

Miss Catfish McKinzey Smith presents Kenneth Forbes with the award for Best Tractor.

Kenneth Forbes won Best Tractor for his John Deere mower.  Sherman Bailey won best truck for ’66 Chevrolet CT.  Best car and People’s Choice went to Kevin Wilson black 1970 Chevelle.   There were plenty of door prizes given away at the end of the event.

Morgantown mayor candidate Billy Phelps was in attendance and was interviewed by Spivey.
Provo and surrounding communities came out regardless of the rain.  The people of the community really do make events like this possible.  Thanks to Tony and Teresa Wilson, Spivey Williams and Event Radio (www.eventradio.com with a new show each Monday), Final Finish and JT Wheel and Tire as well as www.gearheadgazette.com.
