2014 DAR Good Citizen Chanda Hampton

Butler County Chapter of the Daughters of America Revolution announce the 2014 DAR Good Citizen, Chanda Janette Hampton. She is the daughter of Steve and Jan Hampton, a senior at Butler County High, and has had many experiences in school and the community.
She has been active as BCH Student Council as President, Beta Club as President, FCCLA, Science Club, BC High School Prayer Group Leader, Mu Alpha Theta(math club), Pride Club, Student Safety Ambassadors, BCHS Tennis Team, Cross Country Team and BCH County Marching Band.
She represented Butler County at the Governors Scholar and has received numerous awards in academics throughout her high school years.
Chanda’s community service has been through her church youth group, visits to the nursing home, helping bake and deliver to their elderly and delivering meals at Thanksgiving with the youth of the Gasper River Association.  She has taught young children in Vacation Bible School.
We are proud to have a student with her abilities, and leadership as our Good Citizen for the Butler County DAR Chapter.
We will be recognizing our Good Citizen and others that have achieved recognition locally and on the state level, April 24, 2014 at the Butler County Education Complex at 7:00 PM.
