2014 Chamber Annual Dinner Honors Leaders, Businesses
A highlight of the 2014 Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce annual dinner Tuesday night was that of Judge David Fields explaining the events leading up to the decision to locate Corvac in Morgantown. Then Kentucky Senator Brett Guthrie was approached by Corvac, who had a need for a building in the area. “Congressman Guthrie told them ‘I know where one is,’” said Fields adding, “Its been a perfect fit for Butler County.” Corvac is the recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Industrial Business of the Year as chosen by the Chamber.

Outstanding Youth Chamber Achievement Award to Matthew Embry
Outstanding Community Volunteer Award to Iris Moore
Outstanding Non Profit/Civic Group Award to Future Farmers of America-Butler County Chapter
Outstanding Agricultural Related Business of the Year Award to ATP Greenhouse
Outstanding Small Business of the Year Award to Chad’s Body Shop and Wrecker Service
Outstanding Community Improvement Award to Butler County Ambulance Service
Outstanding Community Leader Award to James Runion
New term Board members introduced were Shirley Allen, Amanda Neighbors and Leslie West. Outgoing board member, Roger Southerland, was given a plaque as his term ends.
