12th Annual Quality Christmas Parade

Winning float- Turnertown Farms

The 12th Annual Quality Christmas Parade was held on Saturday, December 13, on Highway 106 near the Butler/Logan Co. line. 

Long time Morgantown barber, Joe Fuller served as the Grand Marshal of the parade. This year's theme was “Baby's First Christmas". Trophies will be given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place in five categories: cars, trucks, tractors, floats, & ATVs.
Winners include:
Floats: Turner Town Farms, and Mt. Olivet Church
Cars: Tommy Brown, Jr. Flener, and Wilford Scarbough
Trucks: Kim Dukes, Steven Foster, and Jason Clarke
Tractors: Scott and Laurie Keen, Randy Grubb, and Drexel Johnson
ATV/Golf Carts:  Kaylee, Mae, and Destin, Tracy Belilies
Free chili and hot dogs was served after the parade at Quality Baptist Church. A country ham was given to one of the parade entrants. This year's winner was  Tommy and Denise Brown. This year the parade committee had 3 additional door prizes besides the (4) $50 bills that was given away. C.W. and Michelle Taylor donated a country ham for a parade participant and one for a door prize. The other country ham was won by Doug Givens. Tracy Thorton Cowles donated a U.K. umbrella and a Christmas wreath. Stella Tuck won the umbrella and Lee Allen Roberson won the wreath. The $50 bills were won by Mac Embry, Scott Keen, and the Pastor of Quality Baptist Church  Bro. Guffy (who donated it back for next year's parade) 
“I believe this was our biggest parade.  It is great to see the community work together.  Quality is a wonderful  place to live,” said Fred Tate, one of the parade organizer.
